My name is Ali Demas, I’m 12 and in 6th grade at Fall Creek Valley. I am doing a service project for the Humane Society of Indianapolis. I’m volunteering my time and collecting the following items from their Wish List. You may also make cash donations and I’ll shop for you. 100% of all money and donations will go straight to the Humane Society!

Paper towels and toilet paper
Bleach and 70% alcohol
56 gallon heavy black garbage bags
Tall black kitchen garbage bags
Blankets/comforters (new or used, no holes)
Bath towels (new or used, no holes)
Cat & dog beds
Black heavy duty Kongs
Super tough dog toys
Cheap plastic cat toys
Peanut butter
Cat nip
Leashes and collars (new or used)
Hand sanitizer
AA batteries
Grooming clippers
Clear plastic gloves
Can openers
Dry dog food & cat food (opened or unopened)

The Humane Society rescues abandoned, abused and unwanted dogs or cats and places them in good, loving homes. I‘ve adopted all my pets from there and will continue to do so, hopefully some of you will too.

The Leak in the Lake is Fixed

Rick Schmadeke has reported that the city has repaired the leak in the lake at no cost to the Moorings Homeowners. The repairs to the pipe in the dam were complete in July and now we just need rain to help fill the lost water.

Thanks to all of the lake homeowners who took the time to clean up their shoreline, especially the cattails. Please keep in mind that we need to control them as they can be very invasive.
